It is a well known fact that their was once a great empire which stretched far beyond the 5 kingdoms. Their skills and crafts are beyond anything which can be created now. That was over 10,000 years ago, now the world is a series of small kingdoms fighting for space.

Much is left over from the old word from the ancient cities of the empire of stone, to smaller objects. Most people have seen with their own eyes the wonders lost in the past. Many stories are told of the time when the rulers of the land were the great Dragon. They had legendary powers, able to cure the sick and destroy their enemies with the merest whims.

Whatever truth is held here, much has been lost and it is beyond most people to spend their time thinking about such things.

Within the borders of the 5 kingdoms their has been peace for a great number of years. The borders are still attacked occasionally, however in general things have been stable.

237 years ago a great peace summit was held in an unknown location. Within one day the war had ended and the 5 kingdoms came together to work in unison. No-one knows the exact reason for this joining, however the effects have been great for the people of the 5 kingdoms.

The years have braught much peace and harmony within the land and although there is still some tensions between the people for the most part things are settled.

Other problems have started to appear however. Beasts unknown and monsters most horrific have started to be seen. At first these were brushed off as rumour and ancient tails to scare the children. However now most people have seen first hand the damage and destruction which can be caused by these things.

About 70 years ago the monster hunters were started by the sovereigns and they have hunted down and killed these beasts ever since.
